In its ongoing commitment to fostering artistic creativity and embedding sustainability into contemporary art practices, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design held a specialized workshop titled “Sustainable Art: Recycling via Collage Technique”. The workshop primarily aimed to introduce students to the philosophical and technical foundations of sustainable art, highlighting how discarded and recycled materials can be transformed into innovative masterpieces through the collage medium. This initiative serves to refine students’ aesthetic and intellectual senses while encouraging them to adopt creative solutions for utilizing available resources in an eco-friendly manner.
The workshop featured an intensive practical session, providing students with the opportunity to create artistic compositions using a variety of repurposed materials. The resulting artworks showcased the students’ exceptional ability to fuse artistic vision with environmental consciousness, turning simple elements into powerful visual messages that advocate for sustainability. The event witnessed remarkable engagement and proactive participation from the attendees, demonstrating the faculty’s success in integrating environmental awareness into the educational process and preparing artists who are capable of addressing contemporary global issues through innovative and socially responsible artistic tools.
