Recognizing Student Activities and Field Training Coordinators

Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) concluded its student activities, community service, and field training initiatives for the academic year 2024-2025 with a distinguished ceremony. The event showed gratitude for the student activities coordinators, members of the Community Service Center, and the administrative team responsible for this work throughout the academic year. Recognition was also extended to the organizations and supervisors participating in field training programs across various faculties, in appreciation of their role in refining students’ skills and preparing them for the job market.

The ceremony was attended by an elite group of university officials, including Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abou Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Dr. Gamal Badea, Vice-President’s Advisor for Academic Affairs and External Relations, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nassar, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management. Also present was Prof. Dr. Laila Mostafa El Habashy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry for Postgraduate Studies and Research, representing the Dean of the Faculty.

The ceremony also saw the attendance of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El Meligy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Naela Emaraa, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, Prof. Dr. Maha Darwish, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, Prof. Dr. Hamdy El Wakeel, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology, Prof. Dr. Osama Madany, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation, in addition to Brigadier General Hisham Khattab, PUA’s Administrative Director, Brigadier General Hossam Soka, PUA’s Security Director, and Brigadier General Amin Taha, Director General of Security and Environmental Affairs.

This celebration was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Noha Badr, Executive Director of the Community Service and Environmental Development Center. Prof. Dr. Alaa Khalil, PUA’s Student Activities Coordinator, along with other student activities officials, community service members, and training unit managers from various faculties, participated in the organization.

This celebration culminates a year filled with community and training activities and initiatives that fostered students’ engagement in institutional and developmental work, linking academic and practical aspects. This reflects PUA’s commitment to developing students’ capabilities and instilling values of community participation and professional qualification.
