PUA Vice President Attends Universities League Opening
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, PUA’s Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, attended the grand opening ceremony of the Egyptian Universities League, held in the New Administrative Capital. This edition served as a prestigious “simulation model” for the upcoming African Games, which Egypt is set to host in August 2026, lending a continental and international dimension to the proceedings.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, along with esteemed academic and athletic leaders. This event underscores the Egyptian state’s commitment to making university sports a fundamental pillar in character building and fostering teamwork, in line with the comprehensive development of sports infrastructure in the New Republic.
During the event, Dr. Etman emphasized the vital role of athletic activities in supporting the educational process, praising the professional organization that rivals international championships. He expressed his pride in PUA students’ participation in this historic event and wished all teams success.
