The Department of Pediatric Dentistry and Community Service at PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry organized an educational week for children visiting the department and their parents, with the participation of senior students.
The program included various activities raising awareness about oral and dental health care, healthy food choices, and proper ways to deal with milk teeth and mouth injuries.
Students utilized diverse interactive educational tools such as models, display screens, and colorful brochures to ensure information delivery in a simplified and engaging manner for children. Program supervisors were keen on distributing toothbrushes and toothpastes to participants, in addition to gifts and educational toys for children.
This activity comes within the faculty’s strategy aimed at supporting community role and enhancing health awareness among community members, especially children, contributing to improving the level of public health and building healthy habits from an early age.
