PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry, in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Design, held the “Dental Green Ovation Day” event. This initiative fell within PUA’s second environmental campaign, themed “Green Pharos,” aiming to promote concepts of innovation and sustainability in the medical field.

The event saw broad student participation and included creative activities, workshops, and exhibitions that focused on using recycled materials and presenting sustainable design solutions. The activities were well-received by attendees for the practical models they offered, linking medicine, art, and the environment, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary integration.

Several prominent figures attended the event, including:

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs

Prof. Dr. Amr Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry

Dr. Walid El-Deeb, Head of the Dentists’ Syndicate in Alexandria

Dr. Mohamed Khamis, Director of Health Affairs in Alexandria Governorate

Dr. Rania El-Gazaerly, Member of Parliament

Additionally, representatives from both faculties played pivotal roles in coordinating activities and leading environmental awareness efforts. The event organizers emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic disciplines in solidifying environmental awareness and encouraging students to play an active role in supporting sustainable development goals both within and outside the university, contributing to preparing a generation of professionals more conscious of their environmental and social responsibilities
