PUA Centers and Continuing Education

Pharos University in Alexandria launched the English Language Centre to provide PUA students and public with English courses to help improve their language proficiency level. The courses and academic plans set are designed to help students attain a degree of linguistic mastery, especially where writing and speaking are concerned.

The Arabic Language Center at Pharos University strives to become an educational edifice, where both Egyptian ,non-Egyptian students from Phraos University and the public community acquire and learn the Arabic language and culture, in the interest of preserving and promoting the Arabic language.

The Education Development Center (EDC) at Pharos University in Alexandria is an academic center concerned with the continuing development of its staff members’ skills and understanding in key areas of teaching, learning, assessment and quality assurance.

The communication skills center (CSC) at Pharos University in Alexandria, established fall 2017, is devoted to provide PUA students with courses required to increase their ability to create a good environment for effective participation in work and life. Successful communication is one of the most influential skills for achieving objectives and developing trust and positive impact

In view of the continuous cooperation between Pharos University in Alexandria and the Chinese institutions and universities, a cooperation agreement was signed between Pharos University and Confucius Institute – Cairo University to establish the first Confucius unit to teach the Chinese language in Alexandria at Pharos University  for PUA students and public community

International Publication & Nanotechnology Consultation Center (INCC) in Faculty of Pharmacy and Drug Manufacturing (5th floor) is the first academic service center in the universities of Alexandria to provide consultancy services for international publication at all stages for different disciplines and in the field of nanotechnology research.

Stemming from the importance of quality management, a Quality Assurance Unit in each faculty reporting to the Quality Assurance Center in the University was established since the first day of operation of PUA.

The JF Japanese Language Courses are designed and offered by the Japan Foundation, Cairo, in cooperation with Pharos University in Alexandria. The courses focus not only on grammar but also on communication and understanding of the Japanese life and culture.

The Translation Center is committed to contributing and participating in the advancement of the translation movement to and from the Arabic language and functionalizing the technical aspect in it, according to accurate standards in order to ensure the quality of translation and accreditation to make the university able to compete and keep abreast of scientific and technological developments with high quality to channel it into serving the community and its needs in various different fields.
