As part of fostering literary and reading culture among students, PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a seminar titled “Book Club”, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The seminar addressed key topics around how to write and publish a book, in addition to emphasizing the importance of reading for students.
During the seminar, the Faculty reviewed the basic steps in book production, starting from idea selection and content development, all the way to the stages of printing and publishing. It also discussed the challenges that new authors might face in the publishing process and methods for overcoming them using digital marketing tools and engaging with the readership.
The seminar also touched upon the importance of reading in the student’s academic and personal life, highlighting its role in fostering critical thinking and knowledge development. Participants offered advice on how to increase students’ interest in reading and exploring diverse books that enhance their intellectual capabilities. The event received significant interaction from students who expressed their desire to continue attending such events that broaden their cultural horizons and solidify their awareness in the fields of writing and publishing.
