As part of PUA’s commitment to supporting creative skills and promoting artistic handicrafts, the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts and Design, held a workshop titled “The Art of Accessories and How to Choose Appropriate Materials with Gemstones”.
The workshop was supervised by Dr. Dina El Kallaf, a CSED member, and was presented by Ms. Rehab Abdel Latif Ghanem. Participants learned the fundamentals of accessory design, methods for selecting suitable materials to coordinate with gemstones, alongside training on the steps for creating handmade art pieces that combine aesthetics and durability.
The trainer also covered methods for evaluating material quality, and techniques for blending colors and textures to produce marketable contemporary designs. This workshop is part of CSED’s efforts to support artistic talents and equip participants with practical skills to help them develop small projects in accessory design, reinforcing PUA’s role in community empowerment.
