AI Applications and Scientific Research

As part of its student activities program, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design held a specialized workshop titled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Scientific Research”. The workshop aimed to enhance academic research skills among the Faculty’s students and enabling them to keep pace with modern technological developments in the fields of design and arts. In addition, it sought to introduce students to the most prominent AI applications in scientific research, guiding young researchers to utilize AI tools in data analysis and drafting scientific research, and developing digital research skills and enhancing efficiency in using smart platforms for references and scientific sources.

The workshop covered a range of applied and research themes, including: an introduction to the concept of AI and its development in the academic field; practical applications of AI tools in collecting and analyzing research data. It also tackled the use of automatic summarization, linguistic review, and smart citation techniques; discussion of the ethical dimensions of using AI in scientific research; and the presentation of real research models and experiences supported by AI tools.

The workshop outcomes included increasing students’ ability to effectively use AI tools in preparing their research, improving the quality and accuracy of research content, in addition to enhancing critical thinking and digital analysis skills among the Faculty’s students.
