Art Outside the Box Workshop
PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted an interactive workshop titled “Art Outside the Box”. Organized under the supervision of PUA’s Student Activities Department, the event aimed to encourage students to break away from traditional molds and enhance their creative skillsets across various art and design disciplines.
Dr. Salma Mahmoud led the instructional portion of the workshop, explaining the significance of out-of-the-box thinking in the creative process alongside the vital roles of imagination and experimentation in generating unique ideas. She highlighted practical techniques for translating unconventional concepts into artistic and design works that convey distinct perspectives and express the creator’s individual identity. Furthermore, Dr. Mahitab El-Sayed emphasized the importance of the event in liberating minds from conventional formats, motivating students to discover their creative potential and explore new experimental avenues within art and design.
This event reflects the Faculty’s dedication to providing a stimulating educational environment that bridges theoretical knowledge with hands-on application. The Faculty continues its commitment to preparing a generation of innovative designers equipped to excel in dynamic professional environments.
