A Human Outreach Visit to Baheya Hospital
Demonstrating PUA’s dedication to advancing social responsibility and fostering human solidarity, the Faculty of Physical Therapy organized an outreach visit to Baheya Hospital. The initiative aimed to deliver psychological and emotional support to breast cancer patients while reinforcing the impact of community involvement throughout patient recovery journeys.
This initiative operates under the framework of PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), which encourages academic faculties to launch volunteer programs and strengthen collaboration with civil and medical institutions. The visit contributed to raising awareness on the importance of holistic psychosocial care while instilling values of empathy and service among participating students.
The event reflects the Faculty’s commitment to developing socially conscious graduates whose engagement extends beyond traditional coursework to active participation in community care. PUA reiterates the strategic importance of continuing such initiatives, directly supporting United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by creating collaborative bridges between educational and healthcare institutions.
