Faculty of Languages and Translation at Pharos University Hosts Delegation from Anadolu University to Introduce the Turkish Language and Culture Diploma Program

 

The Faculty of Languages and Translation at Pharos University in Alexandria, in cooperation with the University’s International Relations Office, hosted an academic delegation from Anadolu University in Türkiye. The visit was organized as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international academic and cultural cooperation and expand educational partnerships with prestigious global institutions.

The delegation included Dr. Murad Sami Türker, Director of the Turkish Language Teaching Application and Research Center (TÖMER) at Anadolu University, and Mr. Erhan Yavaşlar, Assistant Director of the Center. During their visit, they met with faculty members and students interested in studying the Turkish language and culture to introduce Anadolu University’s Turkish Language and Culture Diploma Program.

The event was attended by several faculty members from the Department of Turkish Language. Also present were Mr. Deniz Cankaya, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Alexandria, and Dr. Menna Goweid, Director of the International Relations Office at Pharos University, under the hospitality of Prof. Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

During the meeting, the Anadolu University delegation delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Turkish Language and Culture Diploma Program, highlighting its academic objectives, curriculum, and the educational opportunities it offers to students seeking to develop their linguistic and cultural competencies.

Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening international academic partnerships and exchanging expertise in the fields of language education and translation.
