AI in Medicine Workshop

The Student Union at PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy held an outstanding workshop titled “AI in Medicine … Future is now.” The event aimed to foster the exchange of expertise and interdisciplinary skills between students of different faculties within the university, maximizing academic benefits and preparing graduates for modern labor market demands. The workshop was delivered by Huzoifa Mostafa, a senior student at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, drawing significant interest from medical sector students.

The workshop commenced with a comprehensive introduction to artificial intelligence technology and its powerful integration into the medical and pharmaceutical fields, alongside a discussion on the ethical dimensions associated with this digital evolution. The speaker reviewed real-world examples and practical models of AI applications in diagnostics, treatment, and drug development. This was followed by an interactive session featuring hands-on training with smart applications and anticipating the future of these technologies in healthcare. The event concluded with honoring the workshop leader in recognition of his efforts, amid wide praise from attendees who called for further intensive workshops to expand on this vital topic.
