Celebrating Earth Day
PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED), in collaboration with the Green Pharos Committee at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management, organized an extensive student event titled “Earth Day Awareness.” This initiative, part of PUA’s third annual environmental campaign, aimed to instill a culture of environmental preservation among students. The event focused on addressing increasing global climate challenges and highlighted the shared responsibility of individuals and institutions in supporting sustainability efforts.
The program featured a specialized lecture by Dr. Ahmed Magdy, representative of the “Green Pharos” Committee, who discussed pressing environmental issues and emphasized the importance of adopting positive daily behaviors to reduce pollution and protect natural resources. The session underscored the vital role of youth as primary drivers of positive change through active participation in environmental initiatives. Attended by numerous students and faculty members, the event reflected a growing academic commitment to protecting ecosystems and reaffirmed the university’s dedication to building a sustainable and environmentally responsible community.
