Social Interest and Microeconomics

As part of the scientific activities of the third environmental campaign, “Green Pharos”, PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences held a specialized workshop titled “Economic Perspectives in Microeconomics: Understanding Social Interest and Sustainability”. Presented by T. A. Nourhan Gamal Hassan, the workshop focused on utilizing microeconomic analytical tools to understand contemporary environmental and social issues.

The workshop featured remarkable academic engagement through an interactive assignment based on real-world case studies, linking economic decision-making to sustainable social welfare. Students shared their analyses via the Blackboard platform, where outstanding work was showcased for providing innovative economic solutions that balance profitability with resource conservation. This workshop reflects the faculty’s commitment to preparing a generation of managers and economists conscious of their social and environmental responsibilities, aligning with the university’s vision for a “Green Campus.”
