Reaffirming its social mission to establish the foundations of full inclusion, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA), under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, concluded the specialized training course titled: “The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in Higher Education.” The workshop featured a high level of professional organization, reflecting PUA’s commitment to delivering training content that aligns with international standards for supporting individuals with special needs.

The workshop saw extensive participation, including Vice Deans from various sectors, Academic Advisors, and Community Service Center coordinators from all faculties, alongside numerous faculty members. This intensive academic gathering aimed to unify visions regarding academic and administrative support mechanisms, ensuring the effective implementation of laws and regulations that guarantee the right of students with disabilities to a customized and equitable educational environment.

Through such initiatives, PUA seeks to empower its administrative and academic staff with modern interaction tools, ensuring the campus becomes an inclusive environment that removes obstacles for students. This provides them with equal opportunities for excellence and innovation, reinforcing the university’s role as an educational beacon that embraces everyone without exception.
