Jana Mohamed Represents PUA in the “Sabre” Fencing Competition

As part of its active engagement in prestigious university sports arenas, Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) marked a distinguished presence in the “Sabre” fencing competitions during the Egyptian Universities League (53rd Shahid Al-Rifaie Tournament). PUA was represented by student Jana Mohamed Abdel Aziz, under the supervision of the University’s Student Activities Department.

Jana engaged in intense matches characterized by high skill and competitive spirit. Her technical performance reflected the significant emphasis PUA places on individual sports and its dedication to providing a professional training environment to refine student talents. Sabre fencing requires exceptional reflexes and neural-muscular coordination, qualities that were evident in Jana’s honorable representation of the university.

This participation reaffirms PUA’s commitment to empowering female students and encouraging them to achieve athletic excellence in national-level championships. The university believes that supporting female talent in Olympic sports contributes to building confident, leadership-oriented personalities capable of bringing pride to the university on podiums, alongside their academic and research excellence.
