Significant Progress in the 2026 Webometrics World University Ranking
Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) has achieved remarkable progress in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities, one of the most prominent global rankings that evaluates universities based on precise indicators, including digital presence, research impact, academic openness, and the volume and influence of web pages and institutional websites.
The 2026 results reflect a significant improvement in PUA’s performance at the national, regional, and international levels. PUA ranked 37th nationwide in Egypt, 231st among Arab universities, and 2298th globally. In addition, PUA secured 9th place among 23 Egyptian private universities, highlighting its advanced standing within Egypt’s private higher education sector.
This achievement reflects the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its digital presence, support scientific research, and enhance the quality of education and academic services, thereby reinforcing its competitiveness and position among Egyptian, Arab, and international universities.
