Enhancing Academic and Cultural Cooperation with the Turkish Consulate
Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) welcomed a high-level delegation from the Turkish Consulate, headed by the Honorable Consul Ms. Deniz Cankaya and accompanied by Vice Consul Mr. Ali Mertcan Kilic. This significant visit reflects PUA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen mutual cooperation and open new horizons for academic, cultural, and educational exchange with international institutions. The visit aligns perfectly with PUA’s strategic vision of engaging with leading global educational experiences to benefit its academic community.
The delegation was received by PUA’s President, alongside Vice Presidents, Secretary-General, and International Relations Director, as well as the Deans of the Faculties of Tourism and Hotels, and Languages and Translation. During the meeting, both parties engaged in fruitful discussions regarding methods to support academic collaboration and the exchange of scientific expertise. They also explored potential future partnerships and joint educational programs aimed at serving mutual interests and enhancing the quality of educational and research outcomes across various disciplines.
At the conclusion of the official meeting, both parties exchanged shields and commemorative gifts as a symbolic gesture reflecting the depth of their bilateral relations and their shared commitment to continuing and developing this constructive cooperation. The visit concluded with a comprehensive field tour of the university campus, including Mr. Mohamed Ragab Hall and the university’s sports facilities. The delegation also visited the faculties of Dentistry, Languages and Translation, Tourism and Hotel Management, and Engineering, where they expressed their great admiration for the university’s distinguished infrastructure and the modern technological educational tools provided to its students.
