Basic Principles of Oral Diagnosis
Within its strategic vision to prepare distinguished dental practitioners who possess a competitive edge in the labor market, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry launched the “Training and Awareness Committee” plan for the internship class of 2025-2026. Held under the patronage of Prof. Amr Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty, and supervised by Dr. Mostafa El-Said, in coordination with all academic departments, this program serves as a vital transitional bridge. It aims to foster professional independence, moving the young dentists from reliance on faculty guidance to self-reliance as future practitioners, while ensuring the continuity of the academic mission in providing graduates with the latest scientific and clinical skills to keep pace with rapid global medical advancements.
This training framework is built on a comprehensive methodology designed to enhance graduate capabilities by conducting a precise assessment of strengths to be reinforced and identifying areas for development to be addressed through modern educational and clinical means. This ensures that interns reach a level of professional excellence, qualifying them to serve as ambassadors for PUA across various local and international medical sectors. In this context, the program witnessed a strong start with a valuable scientific lecture delivered by Prof. Mostafa El-Shennawy titled “Basic Principles of Oral Diagnosis.” The lecture explored the fundamental rules of systematic diagnosis, emphasizing it as the cornerstone for the success of all subsequent treatment plans, which sharpened the analytical skills of the new doctors and encouraged them to adopt the highest quality standards in their future professional practices.
This initiative reflects the faculty administration’s commitment to providing continuous academic and moral support to its graduates, embodying PUA’s dedication to offering an integrated medical education that combines scientific rigor with field expertise. Through these specialized programs, the faculty aims to bridge the gap between university life and professional practice, ensuring the graduation of a generation of dentists who possess the confidence, skill, and ethical awareness necessary to serve society and achieve tangible leadership in various dental specialties.
