Artificial Intelligence Reshaping the Future

Promoting technological literacy and aligning engineering sciences with the contemporary digital revolution, the Petrochemical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, hosted a high-level scientific and cultural seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence Reshaping the Future”. The event, supervised by the Student Activities Department, was honored by the presence of the distinguished scholar Prof. Dr. Yousry El-Gamal, Professor at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and former Minister of Education, who provided an in-depth analysis of the essence of Artificial Intelligence and its radical transformations in the modern era.

During the lecture, Dr. El-Gamal explored the philosophical and technical concepts of AI, tracing its historical stages of development through to current breakthroughs. He highlighted major digital platforms and global companies leading innovation in this field, demonstrating AI’s profound impact on reshaping various scientific disciplines. This included its vital applications in chemistry, pharmacy, and engineering, which open new horizons for scientific research and industrial development based on data and intelligent modeling.

The seminar witnessed a notable academic presence led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Naeem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with faculty members, teaching assistants, and numerous Department students. The session provided a golden opportunity for students to engage with a prominent national scientific figure, broadening their understanding of how to integrate AI technologies into their specialized fields to enhance the efficiency of industrial and petrochemical processes. This event reinforces the university’s role in preparing modern graduates equipped with the essential tools of the digital future.
