Afforestation Campaign: Engineering
As part of the 3rd “Green Pharos” environmental campaign, PUA’s Faculty of Engineering participated in an extensive afforestation campaign at the university nursery. The event was held under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pakinam Nabil, faculty’s Green Pharos representative.
The Community Service Center highlighted that involving engineering students in this initiative aims to strengthen their sense of social responsibility and develop their skills in applying environmental sustainability solutions. Furthermore, it fosters an awareness of natural resource preservation as an integral part of an engineer’s role in building a sustainable future. Students actively participated in planting a variety of seedlings and learned the technical and scientific methods for their care to ensure healthy and sustainable growth.
This participation underscores the faculty’s commitment to integrating engineering principles with eco-friendly practices, contributing to transforming the campus into a model environment that reflects global sustainability standards.
