The Digital Education Committee at PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted a workshop titled “Digital Storytelling in Egyptian Museums: Opportunities and Challenges.”

The session was presented by Prof. Dr. Sara Katat, Head of the Tourist Guidance Department at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Alexandria University, who provided inspiring insights into how digital storytelling contributes to enhancing visitor interaction and redefining the museum experience within the tourism industry in Egypt.

Moreover, Dr. Katat reviewed the opportunities and challenges related to integrating digital technologies into the interpretation of cultural heritage, emphasizing the importance of innovation in cultural communication and the growing role of digital tools in promoting sustainable tourism experiences.
