Go Green!
As part of its 3rd environmental campaign titled “Green Pharos”, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry hosted the second orientation meeting for first-year students, within the activities of the Faculty’s Green Pharos Committee. The meeting aimed to introduce new students to the mission of the Green Pharos Committee and its role in supporting sustainability principles and spreading environmental awareness within the Faculty, in addition to clarifying PUA’s vision for transitioning into an integrated green university that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The meeting included an introductory presentation on the Committee’s activities and scope within the University, with an emphasis on the importance of student participation in environmental initiatives that enhance their role in community service and achieving sustainable development. The meeting was supervised by Dr. Sherif Darwish, Faculty’s Student Activities Coordinator, and Dr. Maha Farag, Faculty’s representative at Green Pharos Committee.
