As part of PUA’s 3rd environmental campaign, branded “Green Pharos,” PUA’s Faculty of Legal Studies and International Transactions held its Orientation Day for the new academic year. The goal was not only to introduce students to the faculty’s mission, vision, and various departments but also to disseminate environmental awareness and sustainable behaviors within the campus.
The Orientation Day was attended by key leadership figures: Prof. Dr. Nourhan Fanaki, Vice President for Educational Process Monitoring and Quality Assurance, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saleh El-Saidi, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Mohamed El-Kady, Lecturer and member of the Community Service Center. They welcomed the new students, emphasizing the importance of positive participation in student and community activities.
During the event, Dr. Islam Abu Zeid, Faculty’s “Green Pharos” representative, delivered a speech addressing the committee’s goals and its role in supporting environmental activities. He stressed the importance of students adhering to sound, eco-friendly behaviors and contributing to the green initiatives implemented by the University, thereby promoting the concept of a sustainable university.
This event comes as part of the faculty’s commitment to integrating the environmental dimension into its academic and social activities, boosting student awareness of the Sustainable Development Goals, and supporting the University’s vision for a more sustainable future.
