Pharmacy’s Charity Market
PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy organized a charity market under the supervision of the university’s Student Activities Department. The event aimed to provide essential food items to university staff at reasonable prices, reflecting the faculty’s commitment to supporting the academic community and fostering social solidarity. The initiative included the distribution of consumer staples such as rice, sugar, oil, and pasta, with proceeds allocated to fund future student-led charitable projects.
The event was attended by prominent figures, including Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Dr. Majed El-Ghazouly, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; and Dr. Sameh Younis, Student Activities Coordinator, alongside faculty members and administrative staff.
Prof. Dr. Etman emphasized that this initiative underscores the university’s dedication to its social role in supporting staff welfare, highlighting the importance of strengthening partnerships within the academic community. Prof. Dr. El-Ghazouly praised the students’ active involvement in organizing the event, noting that such initiatives cultivate a culture of generosity and social responsibility among students, ultimately nurturing a generation attuned to societal needs.
