Green Pharos Participates in Mass Communication’s Orientation Day
As part of the orientation day events at PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication, the Green Pharos Committee participated in introducing incoming students to its key role in advancing the university’s sustainability framework and environmental consciousness.
In his opening address, the Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, welcomed the new cohort, stressing the value of active participation in campus life. He also highlighted that holistic student development extends beyond academic learning to encompass involvement in initiatives that cultivate environmental and social responsibility.
The committee delivered an introductory presentation outlining its vision, mission, and student-led environmental projects aimed at promoting resource conservation and sustainability on campus. This participation aligns with PUA’s ongoing strategy to embed sustainable practices within the academic community, encouraging future media professionals to drive positive, long-term environmental impact.
