Introduction to Professional Woodworking

In line with its commitment to enriching practical expertise and exposing students to professional craftsmanship, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a specialized workshop titled “Introduction to Professional Woodworking.” The event was held under the supervision of the Department of Student Activities.

Eng. Moatasem Amir led the workshop sessions, explaining the fundamentals of professional woodworking, primary materials, and essential wood-shaping tools. The training covered technical and professional methods utilized in executing wooden projects, emphasizing the integration of theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice to elevate students’ design and technical execution skills.

This workshop falls within the Faculty’s strategy to prepare qualified professionals capable of meeting labor market demands in design and production industries. PUA continues to host applied training programs that enhance student skill sets, preparing graduates for successful creative and professional careers.
