Reviewing Student Research Projects

PUA’s Faculty of Engineering hosted the evaluation sessions for its students’ research and applied graduation projects. The Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs delivered an orientation speech emphasizing that research projects do not merely serve as a routine academic requirement for graduation. Rather, he highlighted that they represent a real opportunity to foster sound scientific thinking, enhance creativity and innovation, and formulate practical, efficient engineering solutions for the complex challenges facing the petrochemical and energy sectors, aligning fully with sustainable development goals and modern labor market needs.

The evaluation sessions witnessed a prominent presence and active participation from national industrial leaders, headed by the chairmen of major partner corporations, including the Egyptian Petrochemicals Company, Rubex International, and ASISCO. In their evaluative remarks, the industry executives stressed the critical importance of strengthening integration and strategic partnerships between academic education and the industrial production sector to guarantee the preparation of young engineering cadres possessing high readiness and the capability to keep pace with rapid shifts in a competitive labor market.

The activities concluded with honoring faculty members, evaluation panels, and distinguished judging committees. This gesture recognizes their diligent scientific and academic efforts in supervising the research projects, their continuous and dedicated mentorship of students throughout the research phase, and their sincere commitment to elevating the scientific and research standards of the Faculty’s engineering departments, thereby ensuring the quality of the university’s educational outputs.
