As part of the third “Green Pharos” environmental campaign, PUA’s Faculty of Financial and Administrative Sciences hosted a specialized seminar titled “Measuring the Returns and Risks of Green Investment” within the Financial Strategy course.

The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical application by introducing students to the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria. Students participated in a hands-on training session to calculate financial returns and risks using key metrics, including Variance, Standard Deviation, and Beta Coefficient.

The practical component involved analyzing a case study of a green sector company listed on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). This initiative reinforces the university’s commitment to sustainability in line with Egypt Vision 2030, fostering a new generation of financial professionals capable of supporting economic growth and climate action through informed green investment strategies.
