Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) hosted a distinguished academic art event as the Faculty of Arts and Design hosted an exhibition showcasing student outcomes from the Drafting and Visual Studies courses. Held under the supervision of the Student Activities Department, the exhibition was attended by prominent academics, artists, and students.
The exhibition provided a comprehensive display of the students’ technical skills. The Drafting section demonstrated high proficiency in perspective rules, architectural projections, and precise line-weight control to highlight engineering details. Conversely, the Visual Studies section reflected a deep creative dimension through light and shadow studies, compositional analysis, and innovative experimentation with various materials and expressive styles.
This exhibition aims to foster a “gallery culture” among students, transforming university halls into a space for constructive art criticism and knowledge exchange. The displayed works highlighted the students’ academic journey—from initial sketches to final, integrated pieces—confirming the Faculty’s success in refining students’ visual sense and manual dexterity in line with international artistic standards.
