Under the umbrella of its third environmental campaign, “Green Pharos,” and in alignment with Egypt’s vision for digital transformation, PUA’s Faculty of Arts and Design hosted a pioneering seminar titled “Basics of AI and its Role in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)”. The event aimed to highlight the vital intersection between modern technology and environmental preservation.

The seminar covered several strategic pillars, including:

  • Empowering Sustainability: How AI technologies optimize resource efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Environmental Innovation: The role of algorithms in creating smart solutions for contemporary climate and environmental challenges.
  • Sustainable Digital Design: Showcasing practical applications on how artists and designers can use AI as a tool for responsible creativity that considers environmental and social dimensions.

The event witnessed remarkable interaction from students and faculty members, featuring inspiring models of integrating technology into artistic work to serve the SDGs. The faculty emphasized that this initiative reflects PUA’s commitment to equipping its students with modern-day tools, fostering their awareness of how to employ AI not just as a technical tool, but as a driving force for building a more sustainable and innovative society.
