Mass Communication’s First Seminar
Guided by its commitment to academic excellence and the advancement of scientific research, PUA’s Faculty of Mass Communication hosted its first scientific seminar titled: “Developing Scales and Testing Their Suitability for Media Research.” The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Naela Emara, Dean of the Faculty, with the aim of equipping researchers with precise methodological tools to ensure that research outcomes align with global academic standards.
The seminar featured Prof. Dr. Ashraf Galal, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at Suez University, as the keynote speaker. He delivered an in-depth scientific presentation on the strategic importance of research scales in media studies, outlining the mechanisms of their construction, evaluation criteria for validity and reliability, and their essential role in enhancing the quality of academic research and specialized scientific journals.
The event witnessed remarkable attendance and active engagement from faculty members, teaching assistants, and students. The session included an interactive dialogue on the latest methodological trends in designing measurement tools and their effective application in research projects. This seminar underscores the faculty’s dedication to supporting scientific inquiry and honing the analytical skills of its students, ensuring the preparation of a new generation of researchers capable of producing rigorous and methodologically sound media studies.
