A Humanitarian Visit to Borg El Arab Children’s Cancer Hospital
Stemming from PUA’s belief that humanitarian support is the core of its educational mission, the Faculty of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence organized a special visit to the Borg El Arab Children’s Cancer Hospital.
The visit was supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Etman, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs and Dr. Amr Abdel Fattah, member of the Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED). The visit aimed to foster the values of compassion and solidarity among university students and engage them in activities that bring joy and hope to the children.
The Faculty team presented a variety of cheerful entertainment events, most notably puppet shows which received great interaction from the children, in addition to other recreational sketches that contributed to lifting their morale and providing psychological support during their treatment journey.
CSED affirms that this initiative serves as a model for PUA’s humanitarian role in supporting health and community institutions, and promoting a culture of solidarity and giving among students, thus contributing to preparing a generation aware of its social responsibilities.
