World Mental Health Day
PUA’s Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology hosted a seminar on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Alexandria University, with the attendance of Prof. Dr. Samy Erfan, Dean of the Faculty, along with several faculty members and students.
The seminar addressed the importance of mental health as a fundamental element of quality of life and its role in supporting academic achievement and personal balance for students. The lecturer also reviewed the factors affecting mental health and methods for coping with daily stress in light of the principle of prevention and early support. The event witnessed wide interaction from students, who participated in open discussions about how to promote psychological well-being within the university environment, emphasizing the importance of such seminars in spreading a culture of self-awareness and attention to mental health.
Dr. Erfan affirmed that celebrating World Mental Health Day reflects PUA’s commitment to building a supportive and balanced university environment that cares for the holistic health of students—academically, psychologically, and socially.
