PUA’s Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector hosted a workshop to raise awareness and train academic advisors and postgraduate student affairs staff on the operational mechanisms of postgraduate programs at the Faculty of Physical Therapy.

The workshop was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abou Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research. He emphasized the vital role of academic advisors and postgraduate student affairs staff, highlighting the necessity of supporting postgraduate students through all their stages, from course registration to the final granting of the academic degree.

The workshop was then presented by Prof. Dr. Noha Saeed, Director of PUA’s Postgraduate Studies Department. She covered:

  • Registration procedures for postgraduate students.
  • Academic advising and the registration program.
  • Requirements for registering the research plan (thesis/dissertation proposal).
  • External and foreign supervision for scientific theses/dissertations.
  • The general format of the scientific thesis/dissertation.
  • Pre- and post-defense requirements.
  • The data storage program.

The workshop received wide interaction from the attendees, including numerous inquiries which were addressed by Both Dr. Abou Ali and Dr. Noha. The event concluded with commemorative photos with the attendees.
