The Tourism Department at PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management organized its annual scientific conference to highlight key achievements during the 2024-2025 academic year. Attendees included Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nassar, Dean of the Faculty; Dr. Ghada Bassiouni, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; faculty members; students; alumni; and tourism industry representatives.
The conference featured interactive presentations of student-led projects in tourism planning and destination marketing, showcases of field activities and partnerships with leading travel companies to enhance practical training. it also included discussions on academic research addressing challenges in local and global tourism sectors.
Prominent industry figures, including Ms. Azza Ibrahim, former Director-General of Alexandria’s Ministry of Tourism Office, and Mr. Naji Abou Hashima, representative of Tulen Tourism Company, praised students’ expertise and adaptability to market demands. They emphasized “the critical need for academia-private sector collaboration to develop skilled professionals driving industry growth.”
Prof. Dr. Nassar stated, “This conference reflects our vision to nurture innovative leaders in the tourism sector,” adding that “strategic industry partnerships remain central to our academic mission.”
