Sustainability Practices in Hotel Establishments

As part of its third environmental campaign named “Green Pharos”, PUA’s Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted a workshop titled “Sustainability Practices in Hotel Establishments”, in line with PUA’s efforts to enhance the concept of sustainability and apply Green University standards.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Abdullah El-Kahly, Assistant Lecturer in the Hotel Management Department, who discussed the scientific and practical foundations for implementing sustainability practices in hotel establishments. This contributes to rationalizing resource consumption, reducing the carbon footprint, and promoting environmental responsibility in the tourism sector.

The workshop was held under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Magdy, Faculty’s Green Pharos representative, who stressed the importance of integrating sustainability concepts into the educational and training process, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals and the University’s vision for a greener and more environmentally conscious future.
