Sustainability and Reducing Thermal Emissions

As part of the commitment to spreading awareness about sustainability concepts and industrial transformation towards reducing thermal emissions, PUA’s Faculty of Engineering hosted a scientific seminar delivered by Eng. Suhaila Ehab, Head of the Technical Department for Sustainability at Sika Egypt. Eng. Suhaila discussed her company’s vision and goals in supporting the shift towards a more sustainable and environmentally friendly industry.

During the meeting, she reviewed the company’s objectives in developing and modifying manufacturing and installation processes to contribute to reducing thermal emissions and improving energy consumption efficiency. She also emphasized that the transition to sustainable manufacturing is no longer an option but a necessity to keep pace with global developments in the fields of environment and energy. In addition, she highlighted the company’s future vision, which focuses on innovation and utilizing modern technologies to limit negative environmental impacts, alongside its continuous endeavor to develop products compliant with global sustainability standards. Furthermore, she touched upon the different product divisions offered by the company, explaining their uses in various industrial and engineering fields, and presenting practical models illustrating how to achieve a balance between production efficiency and environmental preservation.

The meeting saw significant interaction from students and faculty members, with many questions raised about the future of sustainable industry in Egypt and the role of companies in supporting this national and global trend. The lecture concluded by stressing the important role of young engineers in leading the transition towards sustainable development and utilizing scientific knowledge to serve the environment.
