Subtitle Translation Seminar

PUA’s Faculty of Languages and Translation hosted a seminar titled “Subtitle Translation” under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. During the seminar, Ms. Marina Maher explained the concept and fundamentals of subtitling. She also addressed the most prominent cultural and linguistic challenges translators face when dealing with visual materials. In addition, practical examples from films and media content were presented to illustrate the professional mechanisms of working in this field.

For her part, Dr. Naglaa Nada emphasized that this seminar is part of the faculty’s efforts to qualify students for the job market and support their skills in one of the most evolving and widespread fields of translation, ensuring that students’ professional skills are refined to meet modern demands.
