Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) achieved a major distinction after the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the results of the Best University for Student Activities Competition for the academic year 2024/2025. PUA successfully secured the Gold Category among private universities.

This recognition falls under the Supreme Council of Universities’ classification, which awards the Gold Category to institutions that achieve over 80% in the evaluation of diverse student activities, Community Service, and student training activities. The achievement reflects the University’s commitment to building a well-rounded student personality and fostering leadership and innovation skills.

In the Private Universities category, Pharos University was ranked in the Gold Category alongside elite institutions, including October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), The German University in Cairo (GUC), and The Russian-Egyptian University (REU).

This victory underscores the effectiveness of student activities and PUA’s concerted efforts to provide an inclusive and stimulating environment for creativity, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education’s directives to empower youth in the development process and the building of the New Republic.
