In an achievement that highlights its role as a cornerstone of medical education in the region, PUA’s Faculty of Dentistry participated as an Academic Partner in the 12th International Dental Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2026), the largest of its kind in Egypt and Africa. The event was attended by Dean Prof. Dr. Amr Abdallah, alongside a significant delegation of faculty members, teaching assistants, interns, and senior students.
PUA significantly enriched the conference’s scientific program through distinguished contributions. Titled “Tiny Teeth, Big Drama Winning the caries battle with reluctant little one”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yasmine El-Hamouly (Pediatric Dentistry) delivered a compelling lecture on winning the caries battle with reluctant young patients. Additionally, Dr. Mohamed Shawky (Endodontics Department) presented a session titled ” Abscess Unveiled: Endodontic Vs Surgical Perspective,” where he explored the critical decision-making process between surgical and non-surgical endodontic perspectives, utilizing case studies to train practitioners on selecting optimal treatment plans.
This participation served as a vital experience for PUA students, reinforcing the importance of “Continuous Medical Education” and providing direct exposure to global dental technological advancements. PUA reaffirms that its presence as a key partner in this continental forum embodies its commitment to graduating competitive, high-caliber dentists equipped with the latest research-based and clinical skills.
