Pharmacology and Therapeutics’ Scientific Day
PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy held a distinguished scientific day for its Pharmacology and Therapeutics Department, creating a platform for knowledge and research exchange. The day highlighted the latest advancements in the department’s scientific research fields through two valuable research presentations based on parts of doctoral theses, both receiving significant acclaim from attendees.
The presented research included:
- 1. Dr. Mohamed Amin: Presented on ” Possible Neurotherapeutic Effect of Morin Against 3-Nitropropionic Acid Model of Huntington’s Disease,” exploring new and promising therapeutic possibilities.
- 2. Dr. Amira Magdy: Presented her research titled ” Valsartan as A Prophylactic Treatment Against Breast Cancer Development and Niche Activation: What Molecular Sequels Follow Chronic AT-1R Blockade?” addressing the role of Valsartan in breast cancer prevention.
These presented studies reflected the faculty’s deep interest in scientific research and keeping pace with the latest global developments. They also fostered constructive scientific discussions that contribute to advancing research and innovation within the department and the faculty, underscoring PUA’s role in supporting distinguished research achievements.
