Petrochemical Engineering’s Orientation Day
Supervised by the Student Activities Department and sponsored by the Petrochemical Engineering Department at PUA’s Faculty of Engineering, hosted a welcoming ceremony for new students. The event aimed to introduce students to the significance of their specialization and the demands of the job market.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ihsan Nasef, Head of the Petrochemical Engineering Department, and all faculty members and teaching assistants.
Dr. Nasef initiated the day’s events by welcoming the new students. The vital importance of the department and its close relationship with the industry was highlighted through a speech by Dr. Ashraf Morsi, the Industry Expert within the department.
Faculty members then clarified the academic and advisory aspects for the students:
1) Academic Advising and Study Plan: The study plan was distributed to students, along with a thorough explanation of the academic advising system.
2) Importance of Field Training: Dr. Radwa Zarea, Faculty’s Training Officer and Field Training Coordinator, emphasized the importance of field training as a critical element for professional qualification.
3) International Relations: Dr. Aya Soliman spoke about the faculty’s international relations and available cooperation opportunities.
Students were also introduced to the department’s student families and the various activities that effectively contribute to developing their personal and professional skills and capabilities.
