International Research Collaboration with LSMU
In alignment with PUA’s strategic vision for internationalization and the expansion of academic frontiers, the Faculty of Dentistry hosted a distinguished scientific and research initiative under the patronage of Prof. Amr Abdullah, Dean of the Faculty. This initiative aimed to foster collaborative research and enhance the clinical competencies of both undergraduate and postgraduate students, ensuring they remain at the forefront of rapid global technological advancements in dentistry and receive an education that meets world-class standards.
The faculty welcomed Prof. Živilė Grabliauskienė, a renowned Professor of Endodontics, accompanied by postgraduate researcher Dr. Pedram, from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LSMU) for an intensive scientific visit to the Department of Endodontics. The visit focused on conducting joint research projects aimed at innovating endodontic treatment techniques, thereby enriching the university’s international research output. Beyond research, the collaboration extended to pedagogical and clinical training; Prof. Grabliauskienė delivered a series of advanced lectures and led intensive hands-on workshops for 4th and 5th-year students, as well as postgraduate candidates, providing them with invaluable exposure to overseas expertise and modern global therapeutic protocols.
This visit is a cornerstone of PUA’s International Relations vision, which prioritizes building robust partnerships with prestigious overseas dental schools in both undergraduate and postgraduate fields. Through such collaborations, the faculty reaffirms its commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment that seamlessly integrates theory with high-level clinical practice under the guidance of international experts. Such efforts are pivotal in preparing distinguished graduates capable of competing in the global labor market and further solidifying Pharos University’s reputation as a premier hub for excellence in dental sciences.
