International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Driven by its leading role in supporting community events and promoting the principles of human inclusion, PUA’s Community Service and Environmental Development Center (CSED) participated in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebration, held at the World Youth Authority Theater. PUA was represented by Dr. Sherin Khattab, Lecturer in the Dental Prosthetics Technology Department at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology. This participation reflects CSED’s commitment to supporting initiatives that serve people with disabilities, emphasizing their fundamental rights to empowerment and full integration into all aspects of life.

This proactive engagement embodies PUA’s vision of spreading social awareness and enhancing the humanitarian dimension within its activities. Dr. Sherin Khattab’s distinguished representation of both the faculty and the university demonstrates the academic institution’s dedication to maintaining a strong presence in forums that address urgent social issues. The event was attended by a wide range of representatives from relevant organizations and institutions, providing a vital platform to stress the importance of collaboration between educational and social entities to support this valued group and ensure their access to a dignified and stable life.

In this context, CSED affirmed that this contribution is part of an ongoing series of activities aimed at raising awareness and supporting those most in need, stemming from PUA’s noble mission to achieve sustainable community development. Through such participations, PUA reinforces the idea that the role of educational institutions extends beyond academia to include the building of a cohesive society that values diversity and believes in the capabilities of all its members without exception.
