First Aid for Physical and Mental Health
Demonstrating its commitment to community health education, PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy organized a workshop titled “First Aid for Physical and Mental Health” under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Majed El-Ghazouly, Dean of the Faculty.
The workshop, led by Dr. Hagar El-Sadek, a pharmacology lecturer at October 6 University and an International Coaching Federation (ICF)-certified mental health trainer, equipped participants with critical skills to address both physical injuries and psychological crises. Key topics included Immediate interventions for physical injuries, psychological first aid during emergencies, and integrating holistic safety practices into daily life.
Further, Prof. El-Ghazouly emphasized the workshop’s alignment with the faculty’s strategy to promote “comprehensive health” as a societal priority. Dr. El-Sadek added, “These skills save lives and strengthen community resilience.”
