Academic relations between Pharos University in Alexandria (PUA) and Swedish institutions are witnessing qualitative development, as PUA received a special and exclusive invitation from the Ambassador of Sweden to the Arab Republic of Egypt to attend the “Innovation Week and Nobel Lights Festival” events. This invitation is a first for PUA, making it the only Egyptian university to be hosted at this high-profile event.
The event is held under the main theme: “Research and Innovation in Healthcare and Life Sciences”. The invitation included a selected group of students from PUA’s Faculties of Pharmacy, Applied Health Sciences Technology, Physical Therapy, and Engineering, to participate and learn about the latest technological and applied trends in these vital fields.
The event is an exceptional opportunity for students to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial projects directly to major specialized global companies such as AstraZeneca and Elekta, as well as experts and representatives from various sectors in the medical and biotechnological fields.
This prominent participation emphasizes PUA’s profound interest and steadfast commitment to supporting students and innovative ideas, providing a fertile environment for innovation, and strengthening international partnerships. The event highlights the strength and positivity of the relationship between PUA and the Kingdom of Sweden, embodied in an ongoing academic partnership with the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), opening broad horizons for knowledge exchange and research collaboration.
