Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar

In line with PUA’s commitment to promoting health awareness among its students and academic staff, the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences Technology hosted a cultural seminar on Breast Cancer Awareness, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department.

During the seminar, sophomore students from the Medical Laboratories Technology Department presented information to all faculty students on the causes of breast cancer and prevention methods, emphasizing the importance of early detection and its role in increasing recovery rates.

The session also clarified the symptoms of the disease and the healthy habits that contribute to its prevention, along with answering inquiries from female students and attendees. Prof. Dr. Sami Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Faculty, spoke about the importance of early detection, defining risk factors and prevention methods, and correcting misconceptions related to the disease.

The seminar witnessed significant interaction from the students, who stressed the importance of such events in spreading health awareness within the university community and PUA’s continuous commitment to students’ health and promoting a culture of prevention and early treatment.
