An Educational Seminar on Antibiotic Resistance
PUA’s Faculty of Pharmacy organized an educational seminar titled “Antibiotic Resistance”, as a continuation of the activity held the previous week, under the supervision of the Student Activities Department. The seminar featured the participation of a number of students from the faculty who presented several important topics, including:
- Global pandemics such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Vaccine manufacturing methods.
- Mechanisms of infection spread and ways to combat them.
Additionally, Dr. Ahmed Nouby Amer provided a detailed explanation of the mechanism of action of antibiotics within the body, emphasizing the necessity of adhering to prescribed dosages and not changing or taking any antibiotic without consulting a specialist doctor.
The seminar was attended by several teaching assistants, alongside a heavy presence of male and female students from the faculty, reflecting their interest in this crucial topic in the field of healthcare.
